Stuxnet worm origins

The mysterious Stuxnet worm, which Microsoft says dates back to January 2009, is speculated to be a nation-state attack against Iranian nuclear plants. There have even been online murmurings of biblical references and public confirmation that the Iran’s Buescher nuclear reactor was the main target.



Now comes this information suggesting direct links to Israel.

Symantec security researcher Liam O Murchu says he found the “05091979″ date in the Stuxnet code, a possible link to the May 9, 1979 execution of Jewish Iranian businessman and philantropist Habib Elghanian...

...Ny Times reported that  in the virus is a reference to the Book of Esther, the Old Testament tale in which the Jews pre-empt a Persian plot to destroy them...

If the Israelis managed to keep nukes out of the hands of murderous genocidal psychos without firing a single shot nor embroiling the mideast in war, they deserve the Nobel Peace Prize for it. (Although I realize it would be a break from tradition if they give the prize to someone with, you know, actual accomplishments towards peace)
