The Enterprise is pre-Nimitz, although similar.

Enterprise was an outgrowth of the Kitty Hawk/Constellation Class. But it had enough of it's own characteristics to be a class by itself.
JFK and America were developments of the Kitty Hawk.
And I have some serious time tied to the pier on the right. I do believe it is Pier 12.
I served in Independence CV62, home ported at Norfolk 74-77.
