I've flow in almost every conceivable aircraft from Piper cubs in the 1940's (dad was a pilot), open cockpit biplanes, sail planes, helos (civilian and military) and commercial aircraft from DC-3's, 4's, 6's, Connies, Vickers Viscount, DC-8's, 707's, 727's, 737's, 747's, BAC-111's, Airbus A-319's, 320's, 330's etc, with absolutely no fear. Even when we had an "engine-out" on some of the prop planes.

BUT,

I'd never, ever set foot in a "lighter than air" balloon. Not for a million dollars.
