It’s a mistake for any Republican to fine tune his convictions to satisfy “the media.” More and more the press is talking to itself and is distrusted and disregarded by a growing number of Americans. In truth, judging by the audience reaction at a number of the debates, we’re already seeing what can only be described as a popular backlash.
