My WAG is that 10-15% of the residents are illegal. Another 10-15% are legal aliens, either green card holders or students diplomats and business long term visitors. Maybe 5-10% of the population are convicted felons. None of the above are eligible to vote and most of them are heavily overrepresented in communities that favor Obama. So it is reasonable to guess that while the majority of eligible voters in the city probably do or did support Obama it is nowhere as skewed as the press tries to stampede people into believing.
