[I think Pipes is right. Obama’s “policy shift” is significant. By stating that accepting Israel as a Jewish state is a basic requirement for reaching a settlement, Obama has eliminated any chance the Arab-Muslims can come to an agreement with Israel. In fact, we already see their rejectionism on display in Pipe’s story below. Let’s just say the Arab reaction to the idea is like showing Dracula the cross. Congratulations Mr. President. Whatever puts the final nail in the “peace process’s”coffin is certainly welcome. Who knows? There may yet be another Nobel Prize in it for you. df]
