In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. This week, we are honoring that tradition and are paying special tribute to those who defend our nation here at home, for these brave men and women truly exemplify what it means to live a life of duty each and every day. Thank you for your service.
