Not just for criminals anymore.......................from Rico

The US Post Office...once upon a time...tracked the private mail of suspected criminals by copying the to/from data.

Not any more.

USPS Mail Isolation Control and Tracking Program photographs and archives the exterior of ALL paper mail processed in the US.*

Everyone's mail is being recorded and archived fo future data-mining.

- There is a manual for the program, but there is NO oversight or control.

Call this yet another nail in the coffin of the Fourth Amendment by an intrusive government running out of control, and another indicator that what were citizens have now become subjects.

- Happy Fourth of July!

Maybe they'd not have these horrific cash shortages at the Post Office if they would just deliver the mail instead of snooping on it?

- Worth remembeing the next time they want a rate hike to threaten to halt Saturday delivery because they are broke.

*A really pissed-off citizen might just conclude that putting their return address on the back of their first class mail instead of the front would be a logical form of protest, and might even slow the process down by complicating it. Hmmmmm.....Boston Tea Party, Return Address Refuseniks?

For many years now I have not put a return address on my mail. The Post Office employees have not been happy about this and I have replied, "I am paying for it to be delivered, I dont want it back". I almost always drop it onto a box outside the Post Office because my letter carrier is an old angry lesbian.

Exactly...

We don't need to put return addresses on it.

And..... who uses snail mail now, anyway?
