In the same way that this President sought to invoke the maximum pain on the American people from the sequester and government shutdown, he may also arbitrarily do the unthinkable if the debt ceiling is not raised and choose to withhold payments on our debt resulting in default.
The question then would be why?

Barack Obama said at the beginning that he wanted to fundamentally change America. That is his reason for opting for debt default.
