The world's best performing stock exchange today belongs to socialist Venezuela.
- And socialist candidate "number two but trying harder" the US is right behind them.
Today Venezuela set their official exchange rate at Bolivar 11.36 to the USD. This was a 45% devaluation.
- Not a year ago, the official exchange rate was devalued from B 4.30 to 6.30 to the USD.
Unreported is the current black market exchange rate, which is roughly B 78.73 to one USD.
And despite having THE best performing stock market in the world today, the residents of this socialist paradise still cannot get any toilet paper.
- Lucky for them, a TP-substitute is now possible. Stock certificates
...and using Bolivar notes is looking very much like a viable "Plan B."
Meanwhile, that other out-performing socialist exchange, the DJIA, remains above 16,000 but Janet Yellen could not be reached for comment on rumors that one dollar bills should now be stockpiled against the eventuality of a toilet paper shortage in the US.
One thing is certain, there is no shortage of socialist BS in either nation these days.
- Engels, Marx, Lenin and Stalin must be positively beaming from their graves.
