Bacon-Mola​sses Cookies.......................from Rico

This is a very "old school" cookie recipe.

- While I do not bake cookies, at least I haven't ever yet, but never say never.


This looked so good with the bacon, that I may have to make an exception. Aloha snackbar!!!

- And with some alteration, it might make a pretty good 'treat' for Louie-the-dog too.


3/4# bacon, fried crisp, chopped coarsely

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup molasses

1/2 cup rendered lard

1 tsp salt

2 tsp soda

1 tsp ginger

2/3 cup water (cold for soft cookies, boiling for crisp)...I never knew that.

+ enough flour to make dough
