Netanyahu Agonistes
Depending on who and what you’re reading, the latest reports about the phantom “peace talks” is that they’re either dead or dying. The timing couldn’t be better. The entire fool’s errand was produced by Obama-Kerry in order to keep Israel too busy to attack the Iranian nuclear weapons program. That, and the Obama-initiated talks with Iran, were meant to be the shackles Israel would be bound by. But now that one hand is free so is the other. Yet, that still leaves Netanyahu with one more obstacle to maneuver.
Can he summon up the courage to attack Iran while the Iranians and Obama are jawing?
Netanyahu has yet to prove he’s not Obama’s catspaw. Maybe with the Fakestinians he’s just gotten lucky. The theory that Bibi is rope-a-doping the president has yet to be proven. By the end of summer we’ll know for sure whether it’s right or wrong.
