[When I was a college student (and leftist) in the 1960s I can’t remember anyone talking about Israel let alone disparaging the Jewish state. But academia has been going downhill for a long time – and today bashing Israel has become a required course. In retrospect, the only difference between now and then is the rate of descent. df]
