It must have taken a lot of doing, and many nights scouring the thesaurus, but a charter member of the Polite Right has managed to rewrite the annals of political doubletalk with only one phrase. Peter Wehner of Commentary describes Barack Hussein Obama as suffering from “irrational animus for Israel.” What a splendid way to say our president is an anti-Semite while safeguarding one’s status in the club.
