In the last month of 2014 Russia sold $22 bn of its Dollar holdings.
- That's over 20%.
They are still selling, and their holdings of US paper are now below 1986 levels.
China sold $6 bn in Dec '14, while Japan sold $10 bn.
We know some of the Russian proceeds went to buy Gold. the same is probably true for Chine....but they aren't saying.
