Mao may have been the greatest mass murderer in history, but still, the man knew how to motivate a billion people and successfully wage war against his enemies. Mao knew sharp contrasts have a way of producing clarity, and make the decision to choose sides that much easier. I am confident Netanyahu didn't have Mao in mind when he accepted Boehner's invitation. But history sometimes plays tricks, and the contradictions that exist between America’s Obama and Israel’s Netanyahu have never been more tangible and unmistakable. And that dichotomy will only increase after Netanyahu gives his speech to Congress.
