Sgt Bowe Bergdahl is charged with desertion and will face a jury of his peers. Should we have brought him home? Yes. Was he worth the price we paid. Absolutely not.

Sgt Bowe Bergdahl will NOT "face a jury of his peers" but will instead face a general court martial:

where he may request that at least one third of the members be enlisted personnel. Of course, if he has any brains at all, he will go for an all-officer jury and expect that they will be under INTENSE pressure to acquit him, under penalty of loss of the rest of their careers should they fail to do so. Not that "undue command influence" has any recent history in the US military courts martial or anything such as that...
