cool. a krag jorgenson. could be u.s., danish or norwegian. a great gun. the u.s. krag was chambered in the .30-40 krag (.30 u.s.), the danes chambered a very powerful rimmed 8mm, and the norwegians chambered it in 6.5x55mm swedish. it worked well in all calibers. a great gun, much prized for its smoother operation. the action was most appropriate for cartridges not generating much over 40 to 45,000 lbs psi, which is not very high. but, then again, there isn't much a .308 winchester can do that a .30-40 krag cannot ... a very handly rifle.
