The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month is now called "Remembrance Day" and "Veteran's Day" but it originally marked the end of World War I which was famously called "the war to end all wars."
- We all know how THAT turned out.
Which should be no surprise to anyone, since Plato had it figured-out a very long time ago:
"Only the dead have seen the end of war."
