Is NISSAN Going Belly Up?.................from Rico

Nissan (Japan's second-largest automaker) profits have tanked 99%. Nope, that's not a typo...ninety-nine percent. A near-total wipeout.
-12,500 jobs have just been cut. More will be...
- Production in Indonesia & Spain has been stopped.
- The Nissan model line-up will be reduced.

What happened?
- It did not help them that they are losing almost as much money selling their electric 'Leaf' as ic cost to develop it.
- Or, that effectively no one wants to buy an overpriced/over-hyped (and under-performing) electric dust-buster. There is no 'market' or 'consumer demand' for such crap...

Shades of Tesla...

It could possibly be that they make crappy cars and sell them for cheap to people who have no knowledge of the difference between different makes of automobiles. Also that they're connected to Renault which also makes crappy cars.

If they didn't produce an electric car, they wouldn't have been able to sell cars in Kalifornia.
