Fair disclosure: I once owned a Jaguar Van Den Plas saloon and considered it one of the best...if not THE best...handling cars I've ever driven.
- It was also the most elegant car I've ever owned, with real burl wood (not the Chinesium plastic faux-wood everyone else uses), glove leather seats, a brilliant design...sigh. I still 'miss' that car and will always have a bit of a soft spot for the marque.
NO MORE!
Jaguar has 'transformed' into Faguar.
I recently opted NOT to buy a lovely 1998 Jaguar convertible because, well...the brand not only betrayed (but pissed upon) what used to be its customer base by kowtowing to the 'wokesters' [read: the political gay sexual deviants/Marxist cultural zealots] and going flamingly WOKE.
You have been replaced.*
I will never own or drive one of their vehicles ever again, and apparently I'm not alone:
- Jaguar sales in EUrope have dropped 97.5% with only 49 units registered this year.
- Globally Jaguar has dropped to a 0.1% market share (from 189K units in 2018 to 27K units in FY 25-26).
*Mercedes Benz has a deep bench of vehicles that more than compensate for boycotting Faguar.
