Walter Cronkite was a Commie stooge and Leftist fellow traveler back in the day, a precursor to today's Lefturd media, and nobody knew it.
In 1968 he came out of the Red Clost and pontificated that after the Communist Tet Offensive in the Republic of South Vietnam that the war was at a "stalemate" ... completely contrary to the fact that 'Tet' surprise attack was a disaster and crushing failure for the COMMUNISTS!
He LIED in service to his anti-American agenda, hid the facts of the event from America, and wrongheadedly parroted the Communist party line against Americans at war.

*Cronkite also made a series of short films that were used in schools when I was a kid. They were called "You Were There" and purported to give the student/viewer the experience that they were witness to historical events. Nobody 'knew' at the time he was a flaming Leftist or if the contents were possibly skewed to fit a 'progressive' agenda.
