In Scotland this June I had an alcohol fueled political conversation with some anti-trumpets. One of the things that came up was the number of blacks in the USA. I told them it was 13% and they thought it was closer to 50/50. I kept repeating the 13% and finally told them they could Google it. I explained that it wasn't unusual they would have that impression if you went by commercials and television and movies. We didn't get into the overrepresentation of gays and Lesbians but that's another topic altogether.
