Well, I AM in DIXIE .............from Rico

 Irony.

 

I actually AM in Dixie. Both my homes are in Dixie, so it's not just a 'wish I was in Dixie' like the song, but a reality and a choice...I AM IN DIXIE.

 

Raised in Minnesnowta and regaled with the heroism of the 1st Minnesota at Gettysburg (the highest unit casualties in American military history), the more I learn and understand about the Civil War the more I am convinced the South...while the losing side...was the correct side.

- But we'll leave that discussion for another time.

 

TODAY it may be the very definition of IRONY if it turns out the South (Red States) save the Union from the grip of the Globohomo Communists (a few Blue-Northern States, cities actually) that are fighting a last-ditch battle to destroy America.

 

Foreshadowing today now and/or a nod to our roots?

- The Confederate Battle Flag aka DIXIE had 13 stars. There were never 13 Confederate States, no matter how you count them. It was an homage, a nod, to the original 13 colonies and our colonial revolutionary heritage.

 

I was unable to PROPERLY duplicate all the characters required for the YouTube I WISH I WAS IN DIXIE.

 

 

BUT there is a Japanese Version of I WISH I WAS IN DIXIE by Neutrino Al Kiritan (sic) on YouTube under CSA Military Songs that is a real toe-tapper to head into the weekend with. I recommend it.
