When Jimmy Carter [D] was racking-up his incredible string of failures to cement his legacy as THE worst President in America's history...at least until that gay Marxist Muslim married to a TRanny was foisted upon the Republic...one of his crowning 'achievements' was to destroy the American educational system by getting the government involved via his newly created Department of Education (which like most if not ALL 'progressive [read: Communist] programs is intended to accomplish the exact opposite of its claimed purpose).
With the able ASSistance of a national teacher's union leader (who was a board member of the DNC btw) in a few decades they have utterly destroyed what we once thought 'education' was by turning it into a Socialist 'indoctriation' process.
