Parade of monsters.............from Rico
In our once free and prosperous country we now have a circus parade of monsters: cunning human beings with oversized egos, with ambitions out of proportion to their ablity, whose ideas are self-serving. They do not possess skills or mental acuity, and have pushed-aside anyone with good sense from our public affairs. Instead of being right about anything, they are always wrong. They are weak, and being weak hate and fear the strong. There is nothing 'new' about them (Marx and Thucydides would recognize them), although they fancy themselves 'original' in all things.

Macro-view OIL..............from Rico
I thought this chart to be a good macro-view of what OIL will be doing in our future.
It is possibly also a template for other commodities. I tend to agree with Jim Rogers that:
- There is another severe equities "crash" looming.
- Commodities and cash are the place to be.
While nothing will be cheaper in future, and taxes WILL be going up...so will the price of OIL.
Muni's and Treasuries? Many cities and states are in worse condition than the Federal gooberment. I wouldn't have a penny placed in them (even the post-1984 pennies that are made of zinc and copper-washed to 'look' like real copper pennies from pre-1984 and are worth multiples of their face value based on their copper content and the copper spot price).
What was that old movie line? Something about fastening your seatbelts because we're in for a bumpy ride.

Maxine on Universal Health Care !!
While discussing the upcoming Universal Health Care Program with my sister-in-law the other day, I think we have found the solution. I am sure you have heard the ideas that if you're a senior you need to suck it up and give up the idea that you need any health care. A new hip? Unheard of. We simply can't afford to take care of you anymore. You don't need any medications for your high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, etc. Let's take care of the young people. After all, they will be ruling the world very soon.
So here is the solution. When you turn 70, you get a gun and 3 bullets. You are allowed to shoot one senator and 2 representatives.
Of course, you will be sent to prison where you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head and all the health care you need! New teeth, great! Need glasses, no problem! New hip, knee, kidney, lung, heart? Well, bring it on. And who will be paying for all of this? The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care. And, since you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income tax.

Green..................from Rico
With unemployment UP, incomes DOWN, industrial production DROPPING, credit CONTRACTING
.....where exactly are the "green shoots" of recovery coming from I wonder?
Promises and prettily printed paper do not offer much real substance. Sure, the Fed is printing money as fast as it can, and Congress is spending money as fast as it can...but this is all money we do not have, must borrow, and pay interest on.
With their usual inaccuracy, perhaps the lapdog MSM either:
a. Rewrote reality to curry continued favor with Dear Comrade Reader, or
b. Just got it wrong (shocka, huh?) and instead of saying "green shits" said "green shoots" instead.
- Both are equally plausible.
Meanwhile, people are running away from the dollar.
- One year ago on Friday 06 Nov 2008 the NYMEX gold spot price was $731.20 an ounce. THIS Friday 06 Nov 2009 the NYMEX gold spot price closed at $1,096.60. The dollar has moved inversely to this, and US Treasury instruments sure cannot claim this kind of return nor can the equities markets.

SELL SELL SELL
Last month I was MC presenter at "Successful Selling". Here's a review about the event:
The ISMM's Successful Selling conference took place this year at Birmingham's National Motorcycle Museum. The showpiece venue set the tone for an enthralling day that provided something for everyone - inspiration, advice, entertainment and great networking opportunities.
The event featured a fantastic line-up of speakers that had been carefully selected to ensure delegates were motivated by new ideas and strategies to help them improve their performance and reach their goals in today's tough selling environment.
The conference was given a rousing start by the ISMM's chairman, Sheila Watson-Challis. She made an impassioned plea to members to help themselves and their businesses by selling their way to success - and, in doing so, they would also be helping to lift the UK out of recession. She also urged delegates to support the professional standing of sales in the UK by joining the ISMM and acquiring its accredited qualifications. She thanked the event's sponsor - The Telegraph Group - for its support, and was in turn thanked for her huge contribution to the sales profession in the UK over the last 15 years by ISMM President, Eric Peacock.
Then it was on to the main event, chaired by TV and radio personality Jeremy Jacobs .Throughout the day, Jacobs introduced the speakers and challenged the audience with his own thoughts and nuggets of advice. He started by citing a recent survey in the US which found that 48% of tele-salespeople give up after their first sales call, yet many customers buy after being approached on at least four occasions. He quoted Winston Churchill: "Never, never give up".

The Next Pandemic..............
I went to a dinner party last night, where I and other guests enjoyed copious amounts of alcohol.
I awoke this morning not feeling well, with what could be described as flu-like symptoms; headache, nausea, chills, sore eyes, etc. From the results of some initial testing, I have unfortunately tested positive for what experts are now calling Wine Flu. This debilitating condition is very serious - and it appears this is not an isolated case.
Reports are flooding in from all around the country of others diagnosed with Wine Flu. To anyone that starts to exhibit the aforementioned tell-tale signs, experts are recommending a cup of tea and a bit of a lie down. However, should your condition worsen, you should immediately hire a DVD and take some Nurofen (Nurofen seems to be the only drug available that has been proven to help combat this unusual type of flu). Others are reporting a McDonald's Happy Meal can also help in some cases. If not, then further application of the original liquid, in similar quantities to the original dose, has been shown to do the trick.
Wine Flu does not need to be life threatening and, if treated early, can be eradicated within a 24-48 hour period.
NOTE
If you find you are complaining a lot, it may be that it has mutated into Whine Flu. This is particularly common in men and can quickly spread to their partners where the symptoms are detected as a serious case of eye-rolling.

Say it ain't so!.............from Rico
Team Obama want's to say it ain't so, but it's twue...it's twue!!!
When they scammed, conned, and knowingly LIED to the American public that things were going to get very bad without "Stimuless" (also known as "Porkulus" to anyone with a functioning brain that was paying any attention)...they were engaging in what that 'smart' fellow-Chigagoan Rahm Emmanuel was actually dumb enough to say in public, namely "not wasting a good crisis" to do what otherwise couldn't normally be done.
The pale blue line in the chart is the "threat" Dear Comrade Reader and the Democrats (C) used to bludgeon, bully, and justify this massive public theft directly from the pockets of you and I, the taxpayer.
The dark blue line is the "carrot" they used.
The red dots are the reality they delivered.
- Still believe these weenies? Still do not think their goal is wealth-redistribution and a Marxist ideal society a la Saul Alinsky? Then you are a moron.
The rest of us have been connecting the dots.
