UN's Israel Lunacy Spilling Over to Other Areas by Dan Friedman
Who would have thought it was possible to ruin the UN’s reputation? But one of their own employees is trying his best to do just that. At the enormous bureaucracy a special section has been created known as (no irony intended) The Human Rights Council where UN personnel most afflicted with anti-Semitism can find a home and, presumably, be confined. But as this story and this editorial about a UN loose canon so vividly demonstrate, Jew-hatred is a powerful obsession that often drives the Jew-hater off the deep end, making it not so easy to quarantine.

Fortunately, Israeli Jews still have an escape route through its coastline to the sea. The bottom line? After two decades of failed negotiations, successive concessions and obeisance to Washington, Israel’s enemies have never been closer or better armed. I can hear the mullahs now, “who needs an H-bomb when we can gain the advantage and wipe Israel off the map without getting our hands dirty?” So much for that “wily Jew” canard.

First came Wikileaks which destroyed the meme that Israel’s conflict with the Palestinians is the prime irritant in the Arab world.
Now the other shoe has dropped. Al Jazeera's startling revelations yesterday on Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations clearly show that neither Israeli settlements nor Jerusalem are “obstacles to peace.” For the most part, the PA was willing to give Israel both. That in turn has the Palestinians and their fellow travelers on the liberal-left at each others’ throats, scurrying to cover up to save their ideological butts.
The Wall St. Journal has a clear, straightforward story. And Robin Shepherd has the frenzied reaction from the Guardian newspaper and other pathological Israel bashers in Britain.
Prediction: This story isn’t going away so fast. It’ll take some time before all the parties involved finish applying their spin. A red-faced Abbas is already denying it. So between he and Al Jazeera, which one of the liars do you think lied?
