A Few Thoughts........
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.
We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.
Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand at the edge of a pool and throw fish.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
Women will never be equal to men till they can walk down the street with a bald head and a beer gut and still think they're sexy.
A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.
You don't need a parachute to skydive, but you do need one to skydive again.
The voices in my head may be fake, but they have good ideas!
Hospitality is making your guests feel like they're at home, even if you wish they were.
I scream the same way whether I'm about to be eaten by a shark or seaweed touches my foot.
Some cause happiness wherever they go, others whenever they go.
You're never too old to learn something stupid.

Video:
Received a distress call from Rowan Ave in Aranui that about 12 families in Pegasus Ave had no food, water or baby needs such as formula, nappies etc.
Went to Linwood Ave Salvation Army who were nearly out of supplies so went to Aranui Sallies as well and collected food. Also organised a water tanker to arrive with drinkable water for the locals.
We were the first relief they had seen since the disaster hit. Un-be-lievable. :(

Gun-grabbers................from Rico
Why do neither of these surprise me?
Illinois Officials Spar Over Order to Make List of Gun Owners Public
Iowa Bill Could Compel Gun Carriers to Take Breathalyzer or Lose Permit
Remember Katrina? New Orleans?
- The police went house-to-house and confiscated legally-owned and registered weapons, leaving their owners defenseless during the aftermath. Of course the criminals had all the guns they needed. I talked to a Special Forces lad who was part of the 'cleanup'...he said ALL the bodies they found had previously been stripped of their wallets, watches, valuables. Hmmmmmmm?
- That was HOW MANY years ago? I haven't heard yet that those illegally confiscated legal weapons have been returned to their owners....but maybe too many of them were dead, victims of armed criminals?
The BIG BROTHER statists....the ones who want to be in charge of our lives do NOT like the Second Amendment or those who are armed. Hand-in-glove with the naive unicorn & skittles dreamers and Communists they continue to try these 'social engineering' projects like "gun grabbing" ... for our own good, of course.
Until huMAN natURE changes these silly efforts will always fail.
I stand by my earlier rmks about politicians and diapers needing to be changed for the same reason!
I tend to agree with Ted Nugent who maintains that the Second Amendment is HIS 'carry permit' but also no longer beleive that the Gov't is my friend when the SHTF. They'll just look out for #1, and I don't even rate a #2 or #3, so will look out for myself and only expect that the 'offishuls' will be in my way and need to be avoided/detoured around......

Al Kelly Is Alive and Well, and He's Working For NATO..............by Dan Friedman
From a story in WaPo today covering Western uncertainty about intervening in Libya:
"If there's a debate, it's over to what extent we should now decide how we're going to make a decision, if, in fact, we're going to decide," said a NATO official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive issue.

HOPE, Ben F & Bill G..............from Rico
I doubt anyone in the world, and certainly no one in Obama's mis-Administration knows more about bonds than PIMCO's Bill Gross. He's a very smart man.
- He created a chart that shows who is actually buying government debt today (a.k.a. 'bonds';read: Wimpy-esque promises to pay you back someday in exchange for your money today]. When the 30% of foreign purchasers say "no more, no mas" the wheels will come off the wagon.
HOPE
- I know that many are still high on the hopium dished out so liberally by our Ministry of Truth, the Communist (D) Party, et al....but Ben Franklin, also a very smart man had this to say about HOPE:
"He that lives upon hope dies farting."

How many?
HOW many defence chiefs does it take to change a lightbulb? Two. One to change it, the other to scrap a fleet of Nimrod aircraft to pay for it.
HOW many cops does it take to change a lightbulb? One. But he gets double time.
HOW many civil servants does it take to change a light bulb? 48 - one to actually change it, 47 to do the paperwork.
HOW many librarians does it take to change a lightbulb? None. Overpaid council bosses have shut all the libraries.
HOW many BBC employees does it take to change a lightbulb? One. Which is lucky because the rest of the staff are off sick.
HOW many public sector workers does it take to change a bulb? One. The designated light fixture renewals officer.
HOW many council officers does it take to change a lightbulb? 27. One to change the bulb, the rest to translate a newsletter about changing the bulb into 26 different languages.
