Cognitive dissonance, or the suspension of disbelief?
Gee, the "official" and media-reported numbers do not match your personal and business experience?
- Unemployment? Inflation? GDP? All the statistics today are 'cooked.'
Manipulated government numbers and biased/slanted reporting is the reason collars and cuffs obviously do not match.
- Perception IS reality today, so cooking the books....baldly LYING to the public...."looking good" is clearly more important to these con-artists than actually "doing" any good. It's a helluva lot easier, too.
Shadow Stat's tells us why. Look at the following...

Heart of Darkness..............from Rico
CRE. Commercial Real Estate has fallen 37% in value this year. Not such a big deal...until you understand that $3 trillion in commercial real estate loans are outstanding, and defaults are at a 16-year high now BEFORE many of these loans reach their refinance dates!
The CRE implosion will take down many hundreds of banks in the next few years, and are ticking financial bombs on the balance sheets of thousands of banks.
- As an aside: We ALL know Rahm Emmanuel is a bare-knuckles politician of the Chicago political machine. What I did NOT know before today is that he was a 'bagman' (euphamistically called a 'fundraiser') for then Mayor Richard Daly.
............Talk about the Heart of Darkness in a 'reform' administration!!!!!!!!!!

Almost "half"............from Rico
Nearly half of detroit's workers are unemployed. Despie an "official" unemployment rate of 27%, half the working-age population either cannot find a job or are working fewer hours than they want to.
Mayor david Bing said that the city's official unemployment rate was about as believable as Santa Claus, and in Washington, DC earlier this month said the actual rate "was closer to 50 percent."
Gee whiz, sure looks like those 'fiddy-two' percenters that voted for "change" really got it after all. Awwwwwwwww.

Running for selectman...
Today I got the nomination forms to run for Harpswell, ME selectman. The reason I am going to run is that the current batch (three) are clearly anti-business and seem to want to make sure there are no businesses left in Harpswell at all. As someone who frequents Harpswell business as often as I can, I find this sort of attitude incompatible with having a vibrant local community.
As the Maine state co-ordinator for the tea party patriots I am very keen on the core values of fiscal responsibility, limited government and the free market.
I look forward to meeting more citizens of Harpswell in my quest to give a business friendly voice to the governance of the town of Harpswell.
For any information on me please head to Elect the Dodge.
