What is a woman?
A real woman is a man's best friend. She will never stand him up and never let him down. She will reassure him when he feels insecure and comfort him after a bad day. She will inspire him to do things he never thought he could do; to live without fear and forget regret. She will enable him to express his deepest emotions and give in to his most intimate desires. She will make sure he always feels as though he's the most handsome man in the room and will enable him to be the most confident, sexy, seductive, invincible...
No, wait... I'm thinking of Whiskey. Never mind.

New movie................from Rico
Team Obama is featured in a new movie, starring themselves. Unfortunately the 52% (including Pluto, Minnie & Mickey courtesy of ACORN) arranged it so we get to 'live' the experience.

The FED's Balance Sheet........from Rico
Ever wonder what is on the FED's Balance Sheet?
After yesterday's POMO, the FED, with $821.1 billion, is now the #2 holder of US Treasurys after China. After the announced FED purchases through Nov 8, the FED will be #1 with $853 billion...surpassing China's $847 billion.
Swell. In effect the FED is buying it's own debt. Don't try this at home, it doesn't work any better than Congress raiding the Social Security cash-box and leaving USG IOU's to itself.
Treasurys are unsurprisingly tanking right now, and I rather expect them to drop off a cliff anytime now.

Epic......from Rico
Epic is a perfect word. EPIC.
- Our choice whether it is an EPIC fail or not.
Fiat (paper money) money comes and goes. I have shoeboxes full of worthless fiat money from around the world. Sure, I needed walking around money at the moment...but, BUT, at some point the paper promises (the counterparty risk/promises) becomes worthless and is renigged upon!
- The very best example is the $100 trillion dollar Zimbabwe banknote on my wall. Gotta LOVE it!
PM (precious metals) has NO counter party risk or obligation.
Watch this video and decide for yourself. Trust Benyamin Bernanke and the 'full faith and credit of the US Government' or trust your own good judgement and common sense.
Trading paper Dollars for bullion? Oh, yeah baby....I'm outta here!!!

Main Street's Balance Sheet.........from Rico
Drilling-down from the FED's Balanace Sheet, let's look at Main Street's Balance Sheet. After all, our $14 trillion economy is 70% consumer dependent, so it's reasonable to take a look to see how the average guy on Main Street stacks up. I'm kinda weary of hearing about Wall Street anyway.
- 54 million households have credit card debt. The average debt is $15,788.
- Average Americans have just about four credit cards, and 51% have at least two credit cards. Their average FICO falls between 600-700 (say 692) while the maximun score is 850 (at 620 and below you're effectively toast and can not get access to any credit).
- 270 million VISA cards and 203 million Mastercards are floating about.
- Average spending on housing is 34% of income, followed by 17% on transportation, and 13% on food. Whew! I'm sure glad energy and food aren't calculated into the inflation numbers by the 40# brains in government!
- The average American saves 6% of income....at least the half that bother to save anything. The Chinee save 30%, Switzerland 14%, and Germany 13%. And our FED is complaining that Americans are saving too much!
- The median household income for 2009 was $49,777.
Things are not looking better recovery-wise, in fact they look muy malo....very BAD.
