ASB TV: Winner of ASB Mustang Ride
The legendary P-51 Mustang brought men home safely, ended a war, and every once in a while it unexpectedly changes lives.
AirShowBuzz is privileged to bring you the story of a woman whose family faced incredible hardships and the news every family fears. On a whim and prayer, she entered the Horsemen P-51 Mustang flight sweepstakes with hope and the chance of good news for her family of five.
With the click of a mouse, Pamela Pfeninger's luck changed when her name was drawn as the winner of the mustang flight. The story could end there, but it became so much more as the magical mustang once again united a thankful family and showed that sometime the P-51 can be fueled by love.

Pre-Christmas Reminder.........
T’was the month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.
See the PC Police had taken away,
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS , not Happy Holiday !
Please, all Christians join together and
wish everyone you meet during the holidays a
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Christ is The Reason for the Christ-mas Season!

TSA success declared!..........from Rico
Whew! That was a close one!
Just in time for the Holiday Travel season, TSA's "new" and improved [read: change] security procedures are declared a success by the likes of Joe "plugs" Biden and famed non-scientist Al "the sky is falling" Gore, both aspiring Mensa candidates.
And just think about all those open window seats!!!!!!
Thanks boys.....

Freedom from Freedom?.............from Rico
This is worth thinking about.
"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life and they lost it all - security, comfort, and freedom. When the Athenians finally wanted not to give to society but for society to give to them, when the freedom they wished for most was freedom from responsibility the Athens ceased to be free."

US Military Servicemen Encounter TSA on their flight home
When
we were on our way back from Afghanistan, we flew out of Baghram Air
Field. We went through customs at BAF, full body scanners (no groping),
had all of our bags searched, the whole nine yards.
Our first
stop was Shannon, Ireland to refuel. After that, we had to stop at
Indianapolis, Indiana to drop off about 100 folks from the Indiana
National Guard. That’s where the stupid started.
First, everyone
was forced to get off the plane–even though the plane wasn’t refueling
again. All 330 people got off that plane, rather than let the 100 people
from the ING get off. We were filed from the plane to a holding area.
No vending machines, no means of escape. Only a male/female latrine.
It’s
probably important to mention that we were ALL carrying weapons.
Everyone was carrying an M4 Carbine (rifle) and some, like me, were also
carrying an M9 pistol. Oh, and our gunners had M-240B machine guns. Of
course, the weapons weren’t loaded. And we had been cleared of all ammo
well before we even got to customs at Baghram, then AGAIN at customs.
The
TSA personnel at the airport seriously considered making us unload all
of the baggage from the SECURE cargo hold to have it reinspected. Keep
in mind, this cargo had been unpacked, inspected piece by piece by U.S.
Customs officials, resealed and had bomb-sniffing dogs give it a
one-hour run through. After two hours of sitting in this holding area,
the TSA decided not to reinspect our Cargo–just to inspect us again:
Soldiers on the way home from war, who had already been inspected,
reinspected and kept in a SECURE holding area for 2 hours. Ok, whatever.
So we lined up to go through security AGAIN.
This is probably
another good time to remind you all that all of us were carrying actual
assault rifles, and some of us were also carrying pistols.
So
we’re in line, going through one at a time. One of our Soldiers had his
Gerber multi-tool. TSA confiscated it. Kind of ridiculous, but it gets
better. A few minutes later, a guy empties his pockets and has a pair of
nail clippers. Nail clippers. TSA informs the Soldier that they’re
going to confiscate his nail clippers. The conversation went something
like this:
TSA Guy: You can’t take those on the plane.
Soldier: What? I’ve had them since we left country.
TSA Guy: You’re not suppose to have them.
Soldier: Why?
TSA Guy: They can be used as a weapon.
Soldier: [touches butt stock of the rifle] But this actually is a weapon. And I’m allowed to...
