Congratulations! The privately-owned foreign banking entity a.k.a. "The FED" apparently does, having surpassed China...handily...by achieving ownership of US Treasurys 37% greater than China! Huzzah!
Now, there are very few things that the FED really has direct control over, and the one certain thing you can point to is our Adjusted Monetary Base. This is what it looks like today. Fugly! Almost as fugly as the FED's Balance Sheet.
Let's return to my original question, just from a different prespective. Ask NOT who owns US debt, but who now owns "us" (we the people)?

The Missing Ingredient in Obama’s Witches’ Brew.........by Dan Friedman
I am not one who subscribes to the theory that Obama is creating crises in order to manipulate them. For one thing, Obama is not that smart. And more important, the theory is in the realm of the occult, impossible to prove. And if it’s impossible to prove it’s a diversion and a waste of time - especially when Obama serves up blatant debacles every day that are visible to the naked eye.
Here’s one that’s in the queue working its way to the front of the line now: Hezbollah and/or Hamas start a war with Israel. When you come to think of it, the timing couldn’t be better. The imaginary “peace process” has been sent to the hospice and the Arabs have been unable to gain an inch of Jewish ground. Normally, this in itself should create enough anger for Iran’s proxies to abandon restraint and lose their self-control. But when you add the chaos already in the background and Obama’s clear message that he’s still on the Arab side of the Israeli-Arab conflict, then you’ve created an opportunity that’s too good for Israel’s enemies in Gaza and Lebanon to pass up.
I predicted that the last two years of Obama’s first term would see his mistakes abroad eclipse our concerns about how he is screwing up at home. I’m off to good start. My fervent wish is that the Tea Party will notice, then broaden their myopic agenda to include the mess Obama is making of our “foreign entanglements.”

Did CIA agent gave Al Qaeda Nuclear and Biological material?
US official Raymond Davis has been found in possession of top-secret
CIA documents, which point to him or the feared American Task Force 373
(TF373) operating in the region, providing Al-Qaeda terrorists with
"nuclear fissile material" and "biological agents," according to a
report. Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) is warning that
the situation on the sub-continent has turned "grave" as it appears
that open warfare is about to break out...
So what really happened?
Either, The CIA wants us to think Davis is a rogue agent (for purposes of their own), frames him, and burns him, turning him in to the ISI.
Or, The transfer of nuclear and biological knowhow is being transferred to Al-Qaeda (AQ) officially by the CIA.
Or, Pakistan...

Arab Unrest Propels Iran as Saudi Influence Declines
MANAMA, Bahrain — The popular revolts shaking the Arab world have begun to shift the balance of power in the region, bolstering Iran’s position while weakening and unnerving its rival, Saudi Arabia, regional experts said.
While it is far too soon to write the final chapter on the uprisings’ impact, Iran has already benefited from the ouster or undermining of Arab leaders who were its strong adversaries and has begun to project its growing influence, the analysts said.
