Are Israelis Opting Out of Hobson's Choice?...........by Dan Friedman
Have you noticed? Israel is always warned it has no choice with regard to its most vital interests: the settlements are “unsustainable;” capitulate to the “Palestinians” or lose both your Jewish and democratic character; defiance of the “international community” will lead to greater isolation and pariah status, so on and so forth. Kill yourself our way or walk the plank, your “choice.” Now there are indications Israel is tired of being backed into a corner and is starting to realize inner strength is the way out.
You can never be certain, but here and here are two telltale signs Israelis are taking national suicide out of the equation.
