Kimberlin Allies Think Anthony Weiner Was Framed
Here's the post, "Weiner Truthers."
One of the outlandish claims at Patterico's post was that Patterico's wife --- who is also an L.A. County ADA --- was one of the accusers against Anthony Weiner, that she was one of the women on Twitter who claimed Weiner sent explicit pictures. That's the kind of criminal crackpot sh*t you see with these people. Crazy, but genuinely diabolical and calculating as well. (And note that these freak conspiracies in no way absolve these assholes of their crimes. Kimberlin and his criminal allies are out to destroy political enemies, first and foremost. So don't let BuzzFeed's "truther" meme minimize the significance of what's happening. Charles Manson was criminally deranged, but he's still serving a life sentence without any practical chance of parole.)
More at the link.

Greece economic debacle: Et tu Spain?...by Mike Haltman at TPC
![]() |
| Source |
Politicians, banks and regular people around the world are worried about the endgame for Greece and the impact or ripple effect a bad outcome there could have on some of the weaker Eurozone economies like Spain.
The fact of the matter is, however, that Spain is in trouble all on its own due to some of the same indiscretions as Greece, and a bad outcome in Greece might just accelerate conditions on the Iberian Peninsula (including Portugal) that would at some point have come to a head anyway.

Every Day is #BrettKimberlin Day
It was a big day yesterday, with the massive blogburst for #BrettKimberlin day.
See: "#StandYourGroundConservatives! — May 25th Solidarity Blogburst Stands Up to Brett Kimberlin and the Left's Intimidation Network."
I deal with threats and intimidation every day, and I sometimes link to my reports over here.
On the eve of the #BrettKimberlin blogburst I got another death threat.
See: "Progressives at 'No More Mister Nice Blog' Issue Death Threat: 'I Haven't Killed Anyone Since 'Nam...'"
I'll have more on this all weekend --- there were too many excellent posts to link and summarize all at once. The main thing is for folks who've never experienced this stuff --- for folks who've got no idea how high the stakes --- to stand up in solidarity and spread the word. I'll be writing more on what all of us can do. Check back for updates.

Egypt: Another BIG Obama foreign policy and national security failure!...by Mike Haltman at TPC
![]() |
| Source |
The "Arab Spring" in Egypt has turned into what will most likely be a summer of discontent and possible violence as the choice for leader will revolve around the Muslim Brotherhood and the prior Mubarak regime!
Remember how President Obama and the rest of the left fell over each other demanding that Mubarak step down so that the "Arab Spring" uprising could usher a new era of democracy into Egypt...
Read about just how wrong they were there and how they are likely wrong elsewhere at The Political Commentator here.
Life of Duty: Memorial Day 2012
On this solemn Memorial Day weekend, we remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice defending our nation's safety. Those who fought for our freedom, our children and for their brothers in arms shall never be forgotten. Thank you for your service.

Zucked up?................from Rico
OK, I know already...Face Blewie has been 'covered' to the point of obsessive-compulsive.
BUT, here are a few things getting little attention beyond the number of people sueing FB & friends approaching the number os users of FaceBook.
Face Book Shnooks:
Citigroup's 'Automated Trading Desk' (ATD) has announced trading losses of ~$20 million.
Knight Capital Group has announced trading losses of ~$30 million.
Citadel Securities has announced trading losses of ~$35 million.
UBS so far hasn't commented.
We're not close to being finished with the roll call of losers yet. (Don't forget Margin Stanley).
It appears the pro's were lnly half-honest, with the other half being incompetent, so now it's not just the NASDAQ but possibly even Wall Street is 'toast' as a result.
- Mom & Pop (the 'muppets' according to the wise guys) have abandoned the playing field to the HFT algo's, and the hedgies will be playing "toss the hot grenade" with themselves.
Oh, yeah...almost forgot. FB closed down another 5.2% yesterday...

Chinese Proverb Updated Version 2012..................
Chinese proverb
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
Updated Version 2012:
Give a man a welfare check; free cell phone with free monthly minutes; cash for clunker autos; food stamps; Section 8 housing; free contraceptives; Medicaid, a hundred weeks+ of unemployment checks; a 40-ounce malt liquor; access to drugs and designer Air Jordan shoes; and he will vote Democrat for a lifetime (Or, at least on November 6, 2012, which is all Obama really cares about anyway).

Iran & West Agree: “Let’s Take Another Meeting”............by Dan Friedman
People who poohed poohed the significance of Wednesday’s nuclear negotiations between Iran and Western powers have been shown to be know-nothing naysayers again. In fact, the parties at the meeting reached a unanimous decision to hold another meeting in Moscow next month.
Here are reactions from diplomats who were close to the talks:
"Talks were intensive and long...we were able to get to know each other's views better..."
- Saeed Jalili, Iran's chief negotiator
"The two sides' commitment to diplomacy in the absence of any clear agreement is a positive sign.”
- Ali Vaez, Iran expert at the International Crisis Group think-tank.
"All parties should be commended for returning to the negotiating table.”
- Trita Parsi, president of the National Iranian American Council.
“...it was clear both sides wanted progress and had some common ground...We will maintain intensive contacts with our Iranian counterparts to prepare a further meeting in Moscow..."
- European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton
