When it comes to Philadelphia, the seemingly eternal debate for THE best Philly Cheesesteak between "Geno's or Pat's" has become an institution.
- Both places have 'fans' and both places have become tourist destinations, and a friend implies that after waiting in long 'tourist' lines you get 'tourist' food at 'tourist' prices at either.
For his money, the BEST Philly in Philly can be found at this neighborhood Mom & Pop store....for $3. He won't tell me the address because he (a) hates waiting in line, and (b) does not want to 'spoil' his new favorite hole-in-the-wall eatery.
- I understand completely.

Jail to the Chief from Intellectual Froglegs! (Video)...from TPC
The week begins with a continued bullion smash.....................from Rico
How many of the original (I mean starring Sean Connery) Bond movies contained the lines "Kill Bond. Now!" spoken by the villain du jour?
Today we might instead feature the Cartel and/or your favorite Central Bank saying "Kill Bullion. Now!" as we begin another trading week with the same-old, same-old suspicious market activity.
- This is not the trading pattern of anyone concerned with making a profitable trade, but of smashing the paper markets to a lower price.
We start this week with an early paper bullion raid (a typical 'dawn patrol' by the Cartel) at a thin, no volume, hour before ANY legitimate traders have even woken-up.

Unexpectedly.......................from Rico
I know, I know. "Unexpectedly" is perhaps the most disingenuous and over-used word by the American financial media complex today. It cleverly implies "Gee, who could have seen THAT coming?" ...I rest my case.
UNEXPECTEDLY (at least in the American financial media complex...yes, I'm talking to YOU Bloomberg, MSNBC, CNBC, et al, although there was some 'infotainment' from Maria Bartiromo's interview of Jennifer Anniston concerning 'hair') it was an article in today's Sunday edition of the "South China Morning Post" where we learn that the HKMEx (Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange) has announced that it will NOT reopen for business Monday morning, 20 May.
- All 'open' positions will be 'closed-out' and settled in cash (paper fiat) ...NOT physical bullion, at a settlement price determined by HKMEx...to 'protect' their clients best interests (you know, those silly blokes who 'thought' they owned a Gold position). Gotta just LOVE these weekends, eh? Makes me wonder what surprises America's Memorial Day Weekend may hold for us?
If anyone needed further convincing that we're looking at a huge shortage of physical Gold and Silver bullion in the fractional reserve paper bullion Ponzi game after MF Global (gee, it 'vaporized') and ABN Amro (no more physical deliveries), this should be a 'wake-up and smell the coffee' moment.
- And while we're speaking of "unexpected" the registered Gold bullion inventory at the COMEX is at an 'interesting' LOW right now, making me wonder how the LBMA stands...and how it will handle the "rush" to acquire physical bullion in the wake of this news when it reopens Monday?

LONE WOLF IN OHIO
Shooting took place in March in Middlefield, Ohio; bad guy was pulled over for running a stop sign. He bailed out of his car with an AK and opened up, firing 37 rounds at the two police officers who weren't even out of the squad car yet.
It says a lot for the training and capabilities of the cops; they got out, faced down the threat and outgunned a madman with an AK. The female officer lost her left index finger (a rookie with a month on the department). Male officer had slight injuries, and is back on the job. Bad guy fired 37 rounds from an AK-47 and died at the scene. In the car police found another 8 mags for the AK with 40 rounds each, extremist literature, DVD's on improvised explosives, etc. Apparently a loner, the man was a self-indoctrinated ultra-anti-government extremist nutjob. He had no criminal record. - STORMBRINGER

Affordable Care....................from Rico
The "soup Nazi" gag on the old Seinfeld show was simply hilarious.
When you realize that the IRS Tax Kommissar who was running the Tea Party and 'enemies list' audit programs from 2010-2012 is currently in charge of the IRS 'enforcement' of the Affordable Care Act (ACA aka Obamacare) reality imitating art is suddenly not that funny at all.
- You can just 'see' some faceless-nameless IRS functionary playing "medical care Nazi" who can deny medical care predicated upon your 'korrecktness' to the ruling junta...and guess what? They will not 'care' one bit!
I guess "affordable care" becomes 'affordable' when you are not allowed to have it.
- Nasty Pelosi was accurate when she remarked the ACA legislation would have to be passed in order for us to find out what was in it. Now we begin to see why...

The BIGGEST "bail-in" of all........................from Rico
Fwance voted Socialist [Hollande] last year, Reuters is now reporting that this year "taxes top 100%" there.
- Of course, when the markets reopen Monday it's worth remembering that EUrope is 'fixed.'
The US voted Socialist [Barry LNU-last name unknown] last year, how long before "taxes top 100%" there?
- Watching the action in the casino....er, US markets, obviously the US is 'fixed' too.
What is "fixed?"
- Why, like a boxing match, the game is fixed [rigged] and the ultimate "fix" turns out to be the BIGGEST "bail-in" [read: wealth confiscation] of all...........Socialism.

The BIG Silver Squeeze.......................from Rico
Despite the paper Silver bullion price being deliberately 'crushed' by Western Central Banks, the demand for physical Silver bullion (buyers) is outpacing the 'sellers' by 50:1.
The situation is worse for Gold, where paper debt that will never be repaid is unbacked (leased, hypothecated, and rehypothecated all mean it's GONE).
So what if the Central Bankers have so screwed-up the system that it is beyond repair, and beyond ever 'paying back' what is owed?
- MF Global, Cyprus, and bail-ins [read: you pay, not they] are coming to you soon!
Let this 'sink in'...if you choose to remain in the "system" expect to take losses on anything left in the "system."

Magic Act or Crime Scene or New Zimbabwe?....................from Rico
It's getting difficult to determine if the 'markets' today are merely a "magic act" or a big messy "crime scene."
In the paper bullion spot market, the current "market operation" underway does NOT reflect the sale of ANY physical bullion...only of paper, and the paper bullion is increasingly being 'dumped' and abandoned (<16%> YTD) while physical bullion is setting blistering sales records.
- The COMEX "crimnal activity" is making the Central Banker's 'point' that paper fiat=good and physical bullion=bad, but is a sideshow that distracts from the fact that paper bullion is in BEAR mode and physical bullion is in a BULL mode, while providing 'cover' for a Central Bank 'juiced' fiat Dollar index and paper equities market.
The price rise in physical bullion is a major threat to Central Banks (paper fiat) and their TBTF trading proxies (paper bullion), so at any cost and at any price trying to 'manage' physical bullion via paper bullion to defend the illusion of PAPER (bullion and fiat) is a big "magic act" that belies the actual deteriorating economic fundamentals.
- Or is it a "crime scene"...the S&P500 is UP 76.9% of trading days 1Q (Huzzah! Economy is getting better!); while for the past 8 months 83% of Fridays have seen massive raids of unbacked (naked shorts) paper bullion on the COMEX?
Since "magic" is mis-direction, and "criminal" activity includes theft, figure out which the following might be...
- Note that the US produces ~40 tons of physical Gold bullion per year, but in Jan-Feb alone it exported ~103 tons of physical Gold bullion. Where it is 'going' is less interesting than where it is 'coming from' don't you think?
This Keynesian manipulative folly is leading Western economies to a place I'd call "New Zimbabwe"...a place where (as Kyle Bass dryly noted) the 'paper equity market' was the best performing of the last decade, and your 'paper fiat' winnings bought you a few eggs at the end of the game.
- A place where people now dig for physical gold nuggets so they can buy bread to eat.

The Lady and the Umbrella.......................from Rico
Despite the best efforts of this regime to turn the US Military into a Fran Sansicko gay bar, the last time I checked Marines were still Marines, and Marines do NOT use (or hold) umbrellas in the rain...not even for a Lady.
- Don't take MY word for it, take the tip from Ronald Reagan instead. Umbrella's are for LADIES.
I would strongly argue that Barry is certainly NOT a Lady.
- He just likes to be treated like one, but you'd have to ask his boyfriend Reggie Love for his view on this.
