Since you brought up George Bernard Shaw. My two favorite sayings, of the many of his, are:
"The liar's punishment is not in the least that he is not believed but that he cannot believe anyone else." For some reason, Bill and Hill come to mind.
And
"Liberty means responsibility. That is why most men dread it." Makes me wonder if this is why the liberals of the world seem to be surging.
