One week after the FOMC (Fed's Open Mouth Committee) Gold is down 12% and Silver down 14%.

To put today in context, equities and bonds are rallying on the basis that there will be NO end to QE; and Gold is crashing because QE is ending.

- Yeah, riiiight.

To put the past year or so in context:

- Venezuela asks for repatriation of its 211 tons of Gold. Gets it. Gold price goes up.

- Germany asks for its 374 tons of Gold to be repatriated. Is told no can do...wait seven years. An obvious "market operation" to knock down the price of Gold (and Silver) almost immediately commences.

It's as simple as this:

- NO trader dumps hundreds or thousands of contracts onto the market with "at market" instructions wiith any other purpose tha to take the price down. Period.

Then WHY?

- Also simple. Somebody has been playing fast-and-loose with bullion, and the cookie jar is empty. Oooooops!

- As usual.

This blatant "asset stripping" and "wealth confiscation" may have bought a little 'time' for the paper game, but it also accellerated the flow of bullion from West to East.

- Chinese premiums on physical bullion are ~ $35/oz.

- Indian premiums on physical bullion rose overnight from $8-10/oz to $20/oz and demand has outrun supply.

But its not confined to India and China alone. Despite the 34% drop in Silver this quarter (the largest quarterly move in thirty years) the American firm 'Scottsdale' has had single days where they sold more physical bullion that they have in a typical month, the 'smackdown' apparently convincing those who have been 'waiting' that NOW may be the time to load the boat, or risk missing the next bull run in the marketplace.

Bursting the biggest bubble of all...the 'retirement' bubble.

- There won't be much 'retirement' ahead for many.

The "new" retirement for many Americans will be (or already is) a "food stamp" retirement.

Fauxbama's 'recovery' has created a permanent class of working poor and not-working poor.

- The 'historic' money being paid-out for food stamps

(~ $70 billion/year and rising) illustrates the point.

Forty-five percent of US households have made NO plans to fund their retirements, and have NO pesions, NO IRA's or 401(k)'s. Nothing.

Did I say nothing?

- One in four have NO savings at all.

- Three in four either work paycheck-to-paycheck, and/or now live foodstamp-to-foodstamp. The former won't ever be 'retiring' and many of the latter are already 'retired' but haven't figured it out yet.

'Reforming' illegal immigration with laws that incentivize employers to drop citizens and hire illegals, plus ships even more jobs out of the country, makes perfect 'sense' in the upside-down, back-asswards, Orwellian think tank otherwise known as Washingtoon, DC (District of Criminals).

- I guess that is why the Department of Homeland Stasi 'needs' their tanks, so they can impose Socialist unity on anyone who has figured out that getting elected to Congress turns people into rats...
