Vickers Vimy...................

The Vickers Vimy was a British heavy bomber aircraft of the First World War and post-First World War era. It achieved success as both a military and civil aircraft, setting several notable records in long-distance flights in the interwar period, the most celebrated of which was the first non-stop crossing of the Atlantic Ocean by Alcock and Brown in June 1919.

Hillary and Menendez taken down! A productive week for White House problem solvers!...from TPC

In an apparent game of political hardball normally reserved for the Clintons to play against their enemies, the White House seems to have turned the tables having out Clinton'ed the Clintons with the Hillary email scandal picking-up steam!

Senator Menendez of New Jersey, an Obama administration critic, also seems to be paying a heavy price for going against the 'Team"!

TRUST........................from Rico

There are those who believe that GOVERNMENT is the answer to all problems.
- They TRUST government.

Governments only do TWO THINGS really well.
- Lying.
- Stealing.
Well, you could actually make that THREE THINGS I guess. They are pretty effective at killing, too.

But, in all fairness, government is ONLY 75% parasitic....the remaining 25% is clumsy fumbling about.
- Does ANYBODY actually think that the current government is the best that money can buy? They're bought and paid for, but it was a bad deal.

Boehner Has Crossed The Line – There Is No Coming Back

In January I wrote about John Boehner’s “nuclear option” for keeping his position as House Speaker – courting Democrat support. Following his election to a new term as Speaker, I referred to him as the new Democrat Speaker of the House, a role he seems to have embraced. In recent days the illusion of loyalty to the GOP has been discarded as Boehner apparently plotted with Nancy Pelosi to ensure funding for Obama’s Executive Amnesty plan was passed by the House with a majority of Republicans voting against it.     (continue reading)

"Obama Becoming Dependent On Iranian Fighters"......................from Dan Friedman

Who said this?

“At a time when President Obama is under political pressure from congressional Republicans over negotiations to rein in Tehran’s nuclear ambitions, a startling paradox has emerged: Mr. Obama is becoming increasingly dependent on Iranian fighters as he tries to contain the Islamic State militant group in Iraq and Syria without committing American ground troops.”

Believe it or not, it was the New York Times!

Could be they have a few honest reporters who slipped through the cracks. Or maybe the editor of this story was away on vacation. Whatever, when the progressives’ house organ spills the beans, we should all know things must be much worse than they appear. Obama is in bed with Iran and he’s using the Revolutionary Guard as his vanguard in the Middle East. And with an indispensable ally like that, what’s a few H-Bombs between friends?

Plumbing new depths...................from Rico

Yay!

NFP results are out, and the MSM and FTV cheerleaders are hailing the GOOD NEWS that the unemployment rate has dropped to 5/5%!

While the sheeple and the muppets completely overlook the BLS fakery that is plumbing new and record depths of MEANINGLESS:
- the number of Americans NOT in the labor force [read: jobless] rises to 92,898,000.
- And equities futures react to the NFP 'good news' by plunging.

Fantasy statistics has replaced fantasy football at this point by becoming less "real" by a huge margin.

Meanwhile, back on this planet, but also largely unnoticed, Japan now spends 43% of its tax revenue to fund their interest on debt.
- Guess who is next in line?
- Why do you suppose Barry is talking about raising taxes with his majick Executive Order pen lately?

Echos Of Churchill - Ignore Netanyahu At Your Peril..............From Daniel Thomas

Making comparisons between world leaders is controversial and fraught with danger due to the polarised political preferences of their supporters and detractors. Looking at recent events in the middle east the controversy around comparing Israeli Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu, President Obama and Prime Minister David Cameron, can be all but removed.

He may not have reached the stature of Sir Winston Churchill but judging by his pragmatic approach to Iran and global Islamic terrorism he is head and shoulders above the current candidates for the leadership of the free world, the aforementioned Obama and Cameron.

The similarities between Netanyahu and Churchill became abundantly clear after his recent prophetic speech to the American Congress while his contrasts with Obama and Cameron became embarrassingly more stark.

Netanyahu warned the world about the danger of a nuclear armed Iran in the same way that Churchill warned the world about German re-armament prior to Word War II. Then as now, the appeasers and collaborators ridiculed the messenger which consequently condemned the world to a prolonged and destructive war resulting in some forty million dead, around half of them civilians.

He warned the world that the ruling despots of Iran are insane enough to use nuclear weapons to precipitate a war with the aim of erasing Israel and the Jews from the face of the earth and setting up a caliphate. This echos Churchill's warning that Hitler's true motive for re-armament was to start a war with the aim of setting up a Jew free, thousand year Reich in Europe.

The administrations in the White House and Downing Street have either learned nothing from history or they are appeasers in the mold of Neville Chamberlain.

These administrations are doing the same thing today with the Ayatollahs that Chamberlain did with Hitler and the Nazis. He came away with the Munich Agreement written on his infamous piece of paper that guaranteed "peace in our time".

The only thing it guaranteed was more time for Hitler to continue building up his forces and acquiring modern weapons before he annexed Austria, invaded the Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia and Poland, exterminating their Jewish populations as he progressed eastward.

Prime Minister Netanyahu's impassioned warning not to trust the Ayatollahs fell on the deaf ears of the appeasers in the White House just as Churchill's warnings about Hitler and the Nazis were ignored by Chamberlain and the appeasers in Westminster.

Churchill's "sinews of peace" speech - perhaps better know as his "iron curtain speech" - delivered at the invitation of President Truman in Fulton, Missouri warned the world about the malign intentions of post war Russia to spread communism around the world.

The reaction to his speech wouldn't go amiss among the naive socialist/communist/progressive community of today. He was denounced as a warmonger and accused of insulting and denigrating a friend and ally. The great man was right, an iron curtain did indeed descend across Europe and anywhere between fifty and a hundred million people lost their lives as a result.

Like Churchill before him, Natanyahu's pronouncements on the enemies of civilisation are dismissed as warmongering and an obstacle to peace in the middle east by the appeasers, the collaborators and the facilitators of Islamification around the world.

In conclusion: Sir Winston Churchill was right in his day about Hitler and Stalin just as Netanyahu is right today about the Ayatollahs and radical Islam. If history repeats itself then millions of civilian casualties will be the legacy of the appeasers, the collaborators and the facilitators who refuse to learn the lessons of the past.

Hillary Will Not Run for President

By Alan Caruba

The revelations, reported initially in the most left-wing newspaper in the nation, The New York Times, that Hillary Clinton used her own private emails to conduct public business, suggests that there are forces within the Democratic Party that do not want her to be its candidate for President in 2016.

It’s not like Hillary did not know she was supposed to use the State Department’s email system for reasons of national security; her private emails could have been hacked by forces unfriendly to the U.S.  All government employees are routinely briefed on the laws that require this.

For the record, I am no fan of Hillary Clinton. On September 18 of last year, I wrote a commentary titled “Go Away, Hillary” in which I asked “Other than earning her law degree, name one thing that Hillary Clinton has accomplished on her own. Her accomplishments—slim as they are—have been achieved on the coattails of either Bill Clinton or Barack Obama.”

Beyond Hillary, what I object to is the necessity to raise millions with which to secure either Party’s nomination and a billion to run for the presidency. We are electing someone who has literally bought the election courtesy of donors who have made the selection for the rest of us. There is something fundamentally undemocratic about that.

That said, I don’t think Hillary Clinton will run in 2016.

That may surprise you, but it surprises me as well. And, yes, I could be wrong, but the revelations about her patently illegal email use while Secretary of State suggests that there are forces within her Party that want to end her candidacy now rather than later. They are sending her a message.

Ron Fournier is the Senior Political Columnist and Editorial Director of National Journal. Prior to that, he worked at the Associated Press for 20 years, most recently as its Washington Bureau Chief. On March 3rd, he wrote an opinion piece titled “Maybe she doesn’t want to run in 2016, top Democrats wonder. Maybe she shouldn’t.”

“Two weeks ago,” wrote Fournier, “we learned that the Clinton Foundation accepted contributions from foreign countries. Assurances from the Obama administration and Clinton aides that no donations were made during her tenure as Secretary of State were proven false.”

“Now The New York Times is reporting that Clinton used a personal email account to conduct government business as Secretary of State, an apparent violation of federal requirements that her records be retained.” He quoted one unnamed “senior Democrat” as saying “This story has legs as long as the election”, noting that many senior Democrats “are angry.”

“My concern,” wrote Fournier, “is that Clinton does not see this controversy as a personal failing. Rather, she sees it as a political problem that can be fixed with more polls, more money, and more attacks.” He described her problem as “a lack of shame about money, personal accountability, and transparency.”

If there is one thing to which the Democratic Party is totally dedicated, it is winning the White House and control of the Congress. Ever since President Obama has been in office, it has taken a beating as voters have relentlessly transferred power to the Republican Party in Congress and in many States. It is an unmistakable trend and one that must keep Democrat strategists up at night.

In January 2014, a Pew Research poll found that 69% of women who identified themselves as Democrats hoped to see a female President in their lifetime, compared to only 20% of Republican women. In April 2014, a Rasmussen poll found that “51% of likely U.S. voters have at least a somewhat favorable opinion of Clinton, while 44% view her unfavorably.”

The Huffington Post analysis of the Pew poll concluded that “not wanting Clinton in office is the only one explanation for Republican woman’s relative lack of enthusiasm about electing a candidate of their own gender”, adding that “It may be that (the) gender of a candidate has simply become a less compelling factor for voters…”

Six years of having a President who was elected primarily because he is black have taught voters that race and gender are insufficient factors on which to base one’s vote.

Six years of a sluggish economy, massive unemployment, declining wealth among the Middle Class, and a disaster called foreign policy will influence 2016 votes along with, of course, whoever the candidates may be.

So I will return to my conjecture that Hillary, no matter her desire to be the first woman U.S. President, will also have to address the practical realities of politics. Opposition from within the Democratic Party will likely be a deciding factor. She has put off announcing her intentions until April. If she puts it off again that would suggest some deep misgivings.

If you had the choice between a life of great wealth and fame as opposed to the daily inquisition and criticism that comes with the presidency, which would you choose?
