[Like the community it serves, the JTA (Jewish Telegraphic Agency) is a news service with a decidedly leftist point of view. Its main role in the Jewish community is to funnel the liberal/progressive line to Jewish newspapers around the country. Newspapers often owned and published by the local federation.
