Suckers?...................from Rico
There is an old saying that if you are playing poker and do not know who the sucker at the table is, then it's you.
We are being played for suckers.
The US unemployment rate during the Great Depression reached 25%. Without the BLS (Bureau of Lies & Swindles) "adjustments" the REAL unemployment rate today is 23%.
Boy howdy! It's sure a good thing that the ruling elite says the recession ended two years ago and that we're in a 'recovery' right now, instead of telling the truth. Feel better now?

Growing instability from Syria to Egypt highlights the Obama administration’s failure to develop a consistent strategy for promoting democracy in the wake of popular uprisings in the region, analysts say. – Washington Times
Ayaan Hirsi Ali writes: The transition from closed to open societies will be slow and painful for the Arab-Muslim world. Given that, it would be better for the west to invest in the future by offering more support to the secular groups that brought about this revolution. Cairo is not Ankara post-Ataturk, much less Bonn post-Adenauer. It is time to abandon the overconfident assumption that there is a moderate mainstream in the Arab world. – Financial Times

Jimmy morphs Barry................from Rico
I had 'almost' forgotten what a loser Jimmy Carter was (well, I've tried very hard to) until I watched this clip. Barry is in all ways his 'equal' if not an even bigger loser (he's actually working very hard at it).
- Both are horribly misguided low-potential high-achievers, and certainly the worst specimens to ever hold high office.
Hmmmmmm. We have impeachment wording for "high crimes and misdemeanors" but seem to lack mention of "doofus."
- Watch this and you can see two of them side-by-side.

Barack Obama = Jimmy Carter to The 2nd Power..................by Dan Friedman
Hostage crisis redux. I guess we could argue all day that Obama is naïve, stupid or complicit. But the damage is already done, and at the end of the day he’s allowed our country to look like a gullible tourist in the Arab bazaar. If you’re still looking for a reason to send Obama packing, I can’t think of a better one.
Egypt outlines evidence in case against Americans
CAIRO (AP) — Egyptian judges say the evidence collected in the case against 19 Americans referred to court for their alleged involvement in banned political activity through nonprofit groups includes maps, cash and videos taken of churches and military facilities.
Egypt's crackdown on pro-democracy and rights groups has soured relations between Cairo and Washington, which has warned Egypt that it could cut some $1.5 billion in aid over the dispute.
Sameh Abu-Zeid, one of two judges investigating the case, for the first time outlined for reporters Wednesday the evidence authorities have collected in the investigation.
The comments echoed allegations repeatedly made by Egypt's ruling military council that "foreign hands" are plotting unrest in Egypt.
Among the Americans referred to court is the son of U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.

Cooking with Dean Martin................from Rico
For you youngsters who do may not 'know' who Dean Martin was, he was a singer, actor, the funnier half of Lewis & Martin, a good pal of Frank Sinatra, and charter member of the fabled "rat pack" of the 1960's that JFK enjoyed partying with so much.
Attached is a recipe for 'Martin Burgers' or, for the cooking-ability-challenged, hamburgers done Dean Martin style.
- I think this recipe would also work with hot dogs, maybe even for strict vegans, heck...just about anything!
Cheers!

Bomb Iran. It's The Humane Thing To Do..............by Dan Friedman
Why add to the suffering of the Iranian people with “crippling” sanctions, when today’s modern stand-off weapons can hit their nuclear facilities with great accuracy and little collateral damage?
Signs build that Iran sanctions disrupt food imports
(Reuters) - More evidence emerged on Tuesday of the crippling impact of new sanctions on Iran, with international traders saying Tehran is having trouble buying rice, cooking oil and other staples to feed its 74 million people weeks before an election.
New U.S. financial sanctions imposed since the beginning of this year to punish Tehran over its nuclear program are playing havoc with Iran's ability to buy imports and receive payment for its oil exports, commodities traders said.

Couldn't happen to a more pathetic progressive.
The dude's hashtag was #teamwhipdatass. He was tweeting about kicking the sh*t out of gay dudes diggin' on David Beckham's underwear ad during Sunday's game.
See: "Roland Martin's Homophobic Tweets."

"Progressive" definitions
Terrorist ter-or-ist noun [progressive-slang] 1. Anyone who disagrees with the Government. 2. Anyone who disagrees with the "acceptable" way of looking at things. 3. Virtually all dissent; questioning, criticizing, paying cash, liking privacy.
Stalin and Mao used "enemy of the state" like Progressives use "terrorist." But, that's what you get when the State becomes an enemy of its people...
Now a word from the person some call President Obama: "Pound sand."

There's No Place Like Homs.................by Dan Friedman
Is the media’s odometer still stuck at “5,000” as the number of dead in Syria since March? If so, they must have stopped counting months ago.
Here and here are two (British) news stories, replete with videos, about the continuing slaughter in Syria.
