Dear Theo,
What did you expect? The man has made a career out of cheap shots. Especially toward the Common Man for whom he has so much contempt. The Good news is that he will just become more bitter. He then will FINALLY Sail off to oblivion not understanding how the real world works!

Well done Maher. Every point he makes is accurate and although too sharp for many in the audience is, well, pointed! The Founding Fathers however, were not Socialists. After the Republican Party finally recognises that it will not get to, or keep, power if it keeps bible-thumping and Creationist-obsessed it MAY have time to return to its strength - Capitalism. All the Bible-crap is a diversion in the fight against Socialism and the other older, but hitherto rarely seen, enemy, Islam.

Maher acts angry, confused and mean spirited. I find him completely unattractive. No matter how much he tries to discredit the truth he will fail. I am baffled by his fans. Maher is just plain creepy.

I'm new here, so I have a question. Is "thehawkreturns" supposed to be a serious commentator, or just a troll? Even a moderate student of U.S. history who hasn't been indoctrinated by some ridiculous government school knows that Maher didn't say anything accurate.
To actually read the words of the founding fathers themselves is to discover that it was Biblical values and not raw capitalism that gave them the ideas and values that forged this nation. I have quote after quote from those founders which proves this.
Were they big on free market capitalism? Absolutely. But if you think you can hold a nation together on that basis alone, you are an idiot.
