H/T Peter Gunn who writes: Just to demonstrate the juxtaposition of former wars and today's wars... here is a picture of the "Official Prayer Siren" from 1918. The siren was set to go off at noon-time of each day in Washington D.C., to remind people to "pray for victory"!
