Rep. Michele Bachmann: 'This is Outrageous, Beyond Conscionable'

Jeff Poor has the full report at Daily Caller.

Rep. Bachmann hammers both the derelict Wisconsin public unions and the Obama-Democrat-OFA thugs now raping the democracy:

“They have the support of the White House, but I don’t believe they have the support of the people of Wisconsin,” Bachmann said. “Remember what we’re talking about. These are public servants. They serve the people of Wisconsin. In Greece, for instance, we saw beneficiaries of government checks who took to the streets because the retirement age was going to be raised from 61 to 63. In this instance, [Fox Business Network host] Eric Bolling was on earlier, showing this is simply a contribution being asked to pay for part of their health insurance, not even the full part that the private sector counterparts pay for, and part of their pension. This is something that happens every day in the private sector. So now we are at the tipping point. This debate needed to come. It’s good that it came. What’s shocking is that the White House is weighing in, taking sides, and bringing in a campaign apparatus to set this up.

There is going to be a big rally at the capitol tomorrow (Saturday) to show support for Gov. Walker. Rally speeches start at noon. Please, get there early and join in.

I hope there is no violence. My wife is a 'public employee' and she says that the union is trying to work everyone up into a state of hysteria.

Some posters on this blog seem to think that the folks who are yelling for Walker's recall are cowards. They're not and they will attempt to egg us on. If none of us take the bait, then I wouldn't be surprised if some of them started throwing punches or using picket signs (made with 2X4s) to add 'emphasis' to their arguments.

One thin in our favor, the cops in Madison genuinely like us Tea Party types as we have been courteous to a fault and clean up after ourselves, as do all adults.
Stay tuned.

In the state of Wisconsin the average pay for a teacher is about $48,000. Divided by 180 school days = $266.66 per day. Divided by 8 hour day = $33.33 an hour. Pretty nice wages. Oh and don't forget the "unseen" benefits like, health insurance till death, life insurance, retirement, etc.
That is between 25-30% of the base pay.
So the poor lil old school teacher that "teaches for the good of the children" makes between $41.66 to $43.32 an hour. AND they get 3 months of the year off. (the majority of the teachers work a second job in the summer time)
And dont squack to me about "ew, we have to use our own time to make lesson plans..." Here in Madison, the union has negotiated half days off from school so teachers can DO LESSON PLANS!! That activity is already figured/negotiated into their labor contract!!!
How many of you folks get paid THAT much? I bet you all have to contribute to your own health insurance AND your retirement AND you make a barebones salary.
Now you know why the people of Wisconsin are saying, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!
