No problem!...........................from Rico

Let's take a 'lesson' from the 'new' [read: changed, but same as the last one sans beard] Fed Chair, Yellen:

- There is NO inflation.

- The Fed is NOT blowing another bubble in search of a pin.

- There is NO recession.

- There is NO problem.

A Grammy For Another B-S.o.T.U. Address!

Zo doesn't agree with Obama and Democrats. But Zo is sick of the energy Conservatives put into shaking their fists at politicians, and the thinking that it's going to take another politician to solve the problem. Conservatives aren't doing the cultural work to gain and maintain representation. If they would put more effort into supporting the creativity of artists, to illustrate and promote Conservatism, instead of always thinking the answer is going to be a politician, they would see more positive effects.

The reason why stuffy rich, white-suit wearing, Democrats are able to get votes is because they have relatable figures that go out before them to condition the culture to embrace what they represent. (Rock artists, rap artists, comedians, fashionistas, actors, models, R&B singers, punk rock bands, etc.)

They have it down to a science.

Barry Rubin, Middle East Scholar, Dies at 64

I listened to Barry Rubin speak in Los Angeles in March, 2011. I did not talk with him personally. I remember thinking that I would certainly listen to him speak again, but alas, it was not to be so.

One of the truly great and honest scholars of our day. He will be missed enormously.

Here, "Middle East Scholar Barry Rubin Has Died."

Putting Words Into Netanyahu's Mouth......................from Dan Friedman

129 words that would change the world:
The hour is late and Iran is approaching the nuclear breakout point. At this fateful juncture, it would be foolhardy and feckless for Israel to participate in peace talks that for 20 years have already shown there is little chance of success. A gamble not worth taking and certainly one that no other nation facing nuclear annihilation would take. Today, Israel and the Jewish people have decided to deal with the threat of another holocaust without being distracted, or exhausted by matters that can be better dealt with later. Henceforth, Israel officially withdraws from the negotiating table in favor of ensuring the Jewish state’s long term survival. G-d willing, after we achieve that objective, we can turn our attention to other pressing problems that have bedeviled Jews for ages.
-- Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel

Why I Don't Trust BB (and You Shouldn't Too).......................from Dan Friedman

Below, Ted Belman of Israpundit reacts to Netanyahu's reported acceptance of Kerry's "framework agreement." Note well: This is another complete turnaround of  principle, a tactic that's become synonymous with Bibi since his Two State, two-faced speech at Bar-Ilan in 2009.  Note too that Netanyahu "bypassed the Cabinet," thereby elbowing his way around the  judgment of the Israeli people who put him in power based on promises he now reneges on. Another ploy that's become associated with him.
By accepting this framework, Bibi is accepting the same preconditions he so vehemently rejected six months ago. Regardless of whether the framework is binding or not, Israel will be committed to uprooting 150,000 Jews which is about 50% of the settlers outside Jerusalem. We get nothing out of this deal that we didn’t already have. No one can force the right of return on us nor define us. And this deal leaves Jerusalem out of the question. It must be rejected. If the Iran deal was a “bad deal” this is a horrible deal.
Do not extend negotiations on these terms. I am saddened that this trio are going to accept it.
How can they bypass the Cabinet when so much is being given away. The government should fall over this. - Ted Belman
